Klaus Schneider is Managing Director of the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum Kulturen der Welt (Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum of World Cultures) in Cologne and Honorary Professor at the University of Cologne’s Institute of Ethnology. Formerly, Schneider was Vice Director of the Ethnological Museum Hamburg. He designed the concept for a new building and successfully realized that project; the new building opened in 2009.
