Kunstgewerbemuseum

Museum of Decorative Arts

The Museum of Decorative Arts is the oldest institution of its kind in Germany. Despite heavy losses in the Second World War, it still possesses one of the most important collections of European crafts in the world. The Museum is housed in two locations, in the Kulturform and at Schloss Köpenick, which opened in May 2004 after its restoration.

Due to extensive renovation work, the Museum of Decorative Arts will remain closed from 2 January 2012.
